Technology and Creative Industries

Anderson Strathern represented my interests in a most complex legal affair involving extremely unusual and difficult contract and copyright issues. Throughout, matters were directed with exemplary legal skill, tact, vision and commitment. I could not have had better representation.

We are proud and passionate about our long-standing connections with the technology and creative industries sector. Our clients in this field recognise that we are innovative and creative people ourselves.

Our technology clients range from the largest multi-national corporations to small software developers. We have particular experience in renewable energy, life sciences, telecommunications, semiconductors, software, e-commerce and electronics.

Our creative industries practice covers advertising, architecture, art and antiques, computer games, design, fashion, film and video, interactive media, museums and galleries, music, publishing, television, radio, theatre and the performing arts.

The Scottish Government was quick to recognise the value of the creative industries sector and has shown a commitment to substantial further investment in creative industries. In November 2007, it announced the intention to establish Creative Scotland, which will come into being in 2010 and will play a crucial role in leading the development of the arts, and creative and screen industries across Scotland.
