Chambers 2009
From heritage and conservation to minerals and climate change – the laws which govern how we use the land are rapidly evolving. Our response has been to create the largest Land Resources department of any legal firm in Scotland.
Our eight partners, including specialists in agricultural, charity and planning law, work alongside six associates, two senior solicitors and seven solicitors. Together they provide you with a comprehensive set of services.
The issues our team covers includes access, agricultural law, business structures, conservation and heritage, crofting and small holdings, development options, dispute resolution, diversification, energy and climate change, environment, estates and farms, forestry, land management issues, leisure and tourism, minerals, planning, radio masts and utilities, rights to buy, securities and sporting and fishing rights.
We work closely with other colleagues in our private client department, who advise on areas such as asset protection, succession and estate planning, capital taxes, trusts, charities and family wealth.
Experts from other areas of our full service law firm are also at your disposal, for example in commercial real estate, employment and corporate services.
Our land resources department is operating in an ever-changing regulatory environment where issues like diversification, renewables and climate change are of growing significance.
We work with clients from many walks of life like rural landowners, owner occupiers, tenants, businesses, property developers, charities and private individuals. All receive the same attentive level of service, which is geared to be responsive and effective in helping them achieve their goals.
Anderson Strathern is ranked in the top tier for Agriculture and Estates by leading directory, Legal 500.
