Anderson Strathern partner gains unique dual Solicitor Advocate status

Chris Dickson, a partner at leading law firm Anderson Strathern LLP, has become one of only eight practising Solicitor Advocates in Scotland to have higher rights of audience in both the civil and criminal courts. 

Chris was admitted as a criminal Solicitor Advocate in June 2011 and attended an introduction ceremony conducted by Lord Doherty in the Court of Session last Friday, 30 September. He was admitted as a civil Solicitor Advocate in April 2008.

He also recently qualified to instruct Advanced Advocacy through the US based National Institute of Trial Advocacy (NITA).

Chris is a partner in Anderson Strathern's Commercial Litigation Team and is head of the firm's Advocacy Unit. Chris has extensive experience in commercial disputes, professional negligence and regulatory law. He has a particular interest and expertise in health and safety law and defends clients in health and safety prosecutions and also acts for the Health and Safety Executive in Improvement/Prohibition Notice Appeals.
